Solving Common Problems
Before calling EXFO’s technical support, please read the following
common problems that can occur and their respective solution.
Problem Possible Cause Solution
Optical Laser LED is off and
the SFP is not generating a
signal.
There is a configuration
mismatch between the
inserted SFP and the
rate selected for the test
case.
Ensure that the SFP is
supporting the rate used
for the test case.
The SFP is not
compatible with the
RTU-310.
Ensure to use a
compatible SFP.
