The PMD value might no be

within the unit’s

specification:

³ Your PMD Analyzer

measures low PMD

values from a weak

coupling device (for

example, PMF) and

analyzer input

polarization state is not

appropriate.

³ External parasitic signal

during measurement

(for example, live fiber).

³ Move fiber or device

slightly to change

polarization state and

retest.

³ Remove parasitic signal

and retest.
